About Muhammad Owais Raza Qadri Attari

Alhaj Muhammad Owais Raza Qadri, born on October 17, 1969, in Pakistan, is a revered figure in the world of Naat Khawani. Known for his melodious voice and unique style of expressing profound love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, he has become a legend among Sana Khawans globally. Starting his Naat recitations at the age of 8, Owais Raza Qadri was inspired by his ideal Naat Khawan, AlHaaj Yousuf Ashrafi (late). His academic background includes an Intermediate level of education.

Owais Raza Qadri married in 1994 and is a father of four children: two sons, Mohammad Anees Raza and Mohammad Afeef Raza, and two daughters. He has performed several Hajj and Umra pilgrimages, with his first Umra in 1992 and his first Hajj in 1996. His favorite attire is the Shalwar Qameez, and he enjoys Bar B.Q. His preferred colors are black and white. His closest friend is Mohammad Shoaib Qadri.

He began his recording career with his first album released in 1983, followed by numerous albums over the years. He is currently working on a new album. Although he used to attend two or three Mehfil-e-Naats per night, he now attends only one. He has traveled extensively, spreading the message of Islam and love for the Prophet in countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Tanzania, Malawi, Kenya, Syria, India, South Africa, UK, Zimbabwe, Canada, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Swaziland, Bangladesh, Botswana, Maputo, Mauritius, USA, and China.

Owais Raza Qadri plans to open a Naat Academy soon, aiming to further promote the art of Naat recitation. His advice to new Naat Khawans emphasizes that Naat Khawani is a form of worship (Ibaadat). He advises acquiring thorough knowledge about the Naat and ensuring its compliance with Islamic Shariah. Consulting learned scholars and avoiding objectionable content is crucial. He also stresses the importance of being a true Muslim by adhering to the Sunnah and maintaining regular prayers.

For the youth, Owais Raza Qadri advocates following the path outlined by Allah and the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, believing in death, acquiring Islamic knowledge, and reciting at least one Ruku of the Holy Quran (Kanzul Eemaan) with translation daily. Despite his numerous achievements, he has yet to identify a single memorable moment in his life, reflecting his focus on continuous devotion and service.
